Sears Manufacturing Company Receives Highest Supplier Rating From John Deere
(DAVENPORT, IOWA) – Sears Manufacturing Company, a global leader of off-road and over-the-road truck and tractor seating for over 160 years, has achieved the esteemed distinction of John Deere’s Achieving Excellence Partner-Level Supplier rating for 2017. Sears strives to exceed expectations through innovation, continuous improvement and unparalleled craftsmanship.
The John Deere Achieving Excellence program is comprised of key performance indicators including quality, delivery, technical support, cost management and wavelength, an overall measurement of initiative, attitude, responsiveness, attention to detail, communications and safety performance. Only by excelling in these key categories can suppliers attain a Partner-level status with John Deere.
“We are very proud to receive this prestigious award,” said Jim Sears, C.E.O. “John Deere has been instrumental to our growth at Sears Manufacturing for over 70 years and we greatly appreciate their business. This award demonstrates our commitment not only to a quality product, but to building long-term relationships with our customers.”
Director of Supply Management for John Deere’s C&F Division, Mike Minteer, stated, “Most all suppliers have processes and certifications that they showcase when I ask about quality and delivery performance. While those processes are critical, I have found they only raise the supplier’s performance to a moderately high level. The main differentiating factor for suppliers that have the highest level of performance, is their people. Ultimately this performance, at Partner level, comes down to having a highly engaged workforce. When John Deere employees visit Sears to work on projects, that high level of employee engagement is what we see from the entire Sears team.”
