1855Sears Seating established in Davenport,Iowa by founder Isaac Howe Sears. 1855Sears began by producing harnesses, saddlesand other quality leather & canvas goods forthe agricultural industry. 1947Sears began producing agriculturaland industrial seats. 1965Sears introduced first mechanicalsuspension for the agricultural market. 1976Sears expanded internationally withSears Europe in UK. 1981Sears expanded into heavy-duty truckseating market. 1994Sears expanded facilities in Davenportwith new mechanical center to house six-axisride simulators and test equipment 2005Sears added 50,000 additional squarefeet at main plant in Davenport, Iowa. Searsalso celebrated their 150th anniversary. 2007Sears is a world leader in seats for theagricultural, construction, industrial andheavy-duty truck markets. 2007Through five generations Sears Manufacturinghas become a global company with corporateheadquarters in Davenport, Iowa.
